THE PROCESS

  • PHASE 1

    STEP 1: PRE-ASSESSMENT

Contact me to schedule a 15-minute call to discuss your current needs and goals and ensure that my practice and expertise are a good fit. Referrals are offered if needed.

    STEP 2: INTAKE SESSION

We will meet for 60 minutes to evaluate your needs, recommend an optimized treatment plan, and collaborate on a customized approach.

  • PHASE 2

    STEP 3: TREATMENT

Initially, we would meet weekly. Each weekly session will be 45-60 minutes long and focus on addressing the specific treatment goals we identified together.

During these sessions, I will offer evidence-based strategies and tools to support your current needs and ensure that we are making progress toward achieving your goals. We will regularly measure the success of our treatment and discuss immediate action steps that you can take to help you feel better.

  • PHASE 3

    STEP 4: MAINTENANCE

During the maintenance stage of your treatment, we can decrease the frequency of the sessions from weekly to biweekly and then to monthly check-ins to maintain your progress so far. Throughout our work together, we will continuously review your treatment plan to evaluate your progress toward your wellness goals. We will modify your treatment plan further to improve your mood, performance, and overall well-being as needed.

I specialize in the treatment of:

    Generalized Anxiety Disorder

I specialize in the treatment of:

    Depression

    Dysthymia

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition characterized by intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or rituals (compulsions) performed in response to these obsessions. These rituals are often aimed at reducing distress or preventing perceived harm.

Evidence-based treatment for OCD involves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). ERP involves gradually exposing oneself to the feared obsessions or situations while refraining from compulsive behaviors.

Over time, this process helps individuals learn to tolerate anxiety without resorting to compulsions, ultimately reducing the frequency and intensity of OCD symptoms.

With the right support and treatment, individuals with OCD can learn to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Modality of Treatment

  • In-person sessions

I provide in-person psychotherapy for adults, children, teens, young adults, and families living in Maryland, Virginia, and the Washington, DC, metro area. My practice is located in North Bethesda, Maryland. My office provides a serene environment customizable to individual client’s needs and preferences.

Additionally, I have the authority to practice inter-jurisdictional telepsychology (APIT) granted by the PSYPACT Commission, which allows me to conduct psychotherapy with clients via telepsychology when they are physically located in a participating PSYPACT state.

  • Telehealth Sessions

Receive evidence-based treatment from the comfort of your own home. Telehealth has demonstrated its effectiveness in providing the same high-quality psychological treatment for clients, regardless of physical location. Furthermore, it has made scheduling appointments more convenient, especially for busy families who no longer need to factor in travel time.

All telehealth sessions are conducted on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, ensuring your privacy and security.

I am licensed to practice psychology in Maryland and via telepsychology when they are physically located in any participating PSYPACT states.
